On December 1st, I was fortunate enough to be apart of such an emotional experience.. And when I say emotional.. I am putting it on the same level as watching a birth documentation. I guess kinda in a way it was.. This was the birth of a new family.
New beginnings, new love, and memories to be shared and created from here on out.
About a year ago. Brandy and her husband Tim took the step to foster a child. Only a few short weeks later they fell IN LOVE with this little man names Tiernan.
Over the last year, they took the steps to make him apart of their family for good.
What an incredible experience this was to be apart of.
Congratulations Brandy and Tim on your new lives with this super awesome little boy.
OK ladies of Amador.
I am giving away a Boudoir session to one lucky winner.
1) If you are not from Amador County, you must be willing to come to Amador County.
2) There is only one entry per person, and that will be chosen via the voters.
3) A photo of yourself must be uploaded to my “LIKE” Page and in that upload you must tell us why you should win this session. ( no nude or suggestive photos will be uploaded, this is a clean contest and must be treated as such.)
4) On Monday the 14th of November @ 9pm. Voting will come to an end, and the winner will be announced on the 15th.
5) The session must be shot no later than the first week of December if this is a gift you would like to give to your significant other.
6) The goal is to get as many votes as possible. All they need to do is like your image on my page in order for votes to count. All they need to do is like the photo.. They can feel free to comment. But comments will not count as most people have conversations on pictures.
So this is easy.. The one with the most likes wins!
The winner will be provided with a disk of 10 high resolution fully edited images.
NOTES~ This is a natural light session… It might be cold, it might be drizzly. But my goal is to capture something different than a generic bed in a hotel room. If you are not comfortable with this.. Please do not enter. Thank you.
Tiffany and Joe were the winners of my couples contest that I had back in May. And I have never met a more bubbly couple. All smiles and a good time.
I am so pleased to announce the Marriage of Ana & Rob! I can not begin to tell you how awesome these two people are, and what an incredible wedding they held. Their strength, and love for each other is not only plain to see.Thank you for having me Ana and Rob. Much love, and happiness. And with that being said. This little doll was so cute, and did not mind having her photo taken
I don’t think she could have been more nervous!
Look at this Church! The natural light was amazing!
Congratulations Ana and Robert! thank you for having me!
Halloween was pretty fun this year!
We started with a Halloween Parade in Jackson Ca, on Main Street. This was such a cute fun day! The Trick or Treating that was going on. The kindness of all the shop owners passing out candy, and the fact that EVERYONE was dressed up! There is nothing I love more than dressing my little men up, and seeing everyone else enjoy the day.
My son wanted to be a gangster Zombie this year for Halloween. And in true Shannon fashion, I could not just do the store bought fake blood.. I had to go all out, and make it. I had to make something that would look real in person. I think I got what I was after
Aidan thought it would be cool to roll his eyes into the back of his head. In real Zombie fashion.
Here is Owen! The one photo he allowed me to take.. My little Ninja! LOL
In the fall we celebrate love, life, and family.
This past weekend, I took a break from weddings, and portrait sessions to spend time with my kids. And trust me. It was incredible!
Living in the mountains is not always fun. But I will tell you. In the fall, there is no place I would rather be. The earthy smells of nature, the cool breeze, and the smell of wood stoves burning in the air.
Marie is a lot like other women.. Other women like me, and other women like some of my dearest friends. She spends long periods of time without her husband, and only brief moments in time with him.
Stephen is a US Army Soldier.
I got the chance to work with them a couple of months ago while he was home on R&R. And yes. I am super naughty for not posting till now.
This session was a near and dear session for me. Especially since I have stood in her shoes for several years, and through many deployments….. There is a bond that Military wives have, and its pretty tight. We can laugh, joke, cry, and scream at each other, and know we are all in good hands.
It is a silent rank in which we live. We live to be the backbones and support systems for our husbands. We live by the phone, computer or mailbox just hoping to hear from them. Several of us are raising children, working, and holding down the fort while they are away. But we live this life with pride, strength, and love.
I am always glad to meet other ladies who have lived this life. To see the steps we made, and overcome so many unknowns.
Recently I was asked to do a shoot for Bella Grace Vineyards. They have a B-E-A-utiful 1800′s home on 73 Main street in Sutter Creek California.
You can find their website HERE. Or you can call them at 1 209.245.4204.
Look at this beautiful building. This is now the tasting room for Bella Grace Vineyards, and where they will be holding weddings. I could not get over what a fantastic job they did with it.
Thank you Stephen for putting up with me, and trusting me for this shot. It is actually one of my favorites from this session!
This charming 1800′s building is the PERFECT location to hold a classy beautiful wedding. The location is incredible, the wine is awesome, and the staff that brings it all together is quite incredible. This location was such a fun place to shoot because of all the texture, and colors all around from this Historic community. For over a month now, I have been putting off blogging because I have been so busy. Weddings, families, couples, and special projects for businesses, and such. And trust me when I say…. I am not complaining, and I am more than grateful for everything coming my way, and the things I am able to do for other people, and share with everyone else.
I have so many other things coming up, and I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am about it. It is going to be so fun for me.
So stay tuned. I will have something up shortly!
